Scottish Championships Day 5 - Mamma Mia!!!

It is like an oven in here today.  It's hot damn hot, real hot!!!  Edinburgh and sun?  Not 2 words that usually associate.  We have had to close the windows as the pub across the road seem to be ABBA fans and we have been subjected to Mamma Mia, Waterloo, and quite appropriately, Winner Takes it All!  We are walking a balancing act between overheating players and that good old Simon and Garfunkle number "Sounds of Silence"

Lets put it this way, even Donald has his sleeves rolled up!  Keti is standing in front of her board wearing a denim jacket and looking very cool.  How does she do it?

Welcome to day 5. Starting with the Championship.  The competition is starting to hot up with Clement, Anthony and Paul sharing the lead on 3.5, 0.5 ahead of the chasing pack.

The leaders (+ Craig)
Looking at the seniors, it is Donald Heron who leads from Ian Mason and Janic Konarski

The U1500 is the tournament that no one seems to want to win.  We have 1/3 of the field leading!  I think instead of showing their pictures, I'll introduce the whole lot of them :D.  Bring on the cast of the U1500!!

Hmm, we appear to be missing someone.  Mind you, this is also what his opponent normally sees at the start of the game.  Ah yes there you are

And to finish (for now) for todays musings.  Alex was putting a game into the computer from a scoresheet.  We were all baffled by the move Rd9?
